Identifying and Overcoming Micro Discrimination and Micro Aggression Towards Immigrants

Everyone has biases that can lead to micro-discrimination and micro-aggression toward people, especially vulnerable and marginalized immigrants. These behaviors, left unchecked, can have a negative impact on individuals, society, performance, productivity, morale, and community relations.

The focus of this training is using communication skills to identify micro discrimination and microaggression in the workplace and community. These include racism, discrimination, unfair treatment, and poor decision-making that may not be intentional – but understanding that people are still responsible for the adverse outcomes. The goal of this training is to provide practical tools and strategies for participants to combat these behaviors and make a difference.
